Champlain College Ê¢¾©ÆåÅÆ has expanded its leadership team, appointing Sergio Tenreiro de Magalh?es, Ph.D. as Chief Learning Officer and Sarah McMaster as Executive Director of Marketing and Enrollment Management.

Following the announcement of Chris Montagnino as Vice President of Champlain College Ê¢¾©ÆåÅÆ (CCO) last year, the online institution has positioned its leadership team to support strategic goals, including new remote learning opportunities, program growth, and enrollment management.

The newly formed leadership team will enable Champlain College to expand and diversify its online offerings, adding new courses, degrees, and certificates in industry-driven programs like business, cybersecurity, healthcare, IT, and more. The team will also play a vital part in the college’s future success, identifying and prioritizing initiatives to enhance the online learning experience.

Tenreiro de Magalh?es has been an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics and the Department Chair of Cybersecurity at Champlain College Ê¢¾©ÆåÅÆ for the last five years. He will keep his Associate Professor title in addition to his new role as Chief Learning Officer, where he will provide leadership and direction for Champlain¡¯s online academic programs, ensuring they align with the institution¡¯s mission and strategic goals. Tenreiro de Magalh?es holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Systems and Technologies in the field of cybersecurity from the University of Minho in Portugal.

Sarah McMaster
Sarah McMaster, Executive Director of Marketing and Enrollment Management

McMaster is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with two decades of experience across higher education institutions, B2B, and nonprofits. In her new role as Executive Director of Marketing and Enrollment Management, she will work in partnership with the Vice President of Champlain College Ê¢¾©ÆåÅÆ to lead marketing and enrollment management strategies from the start of the prospective student lifecycle through enrollment and beyond. McMaster also serves as an adjunct instructor at Clark University and Brandeis University, teaching courses in marketing communications, strategic marketing, marketing ethics, and digital citizenship.
